Just got some news from the 'Angel' Team about their upcoming release:
Hey there, Overwatch Angel of the 'Angel' Team here! Just letting you know we should be ready for the trial release some time in late september! This at present looks to be a 3 mission pack (although we will have already completed most of the next chapter). This will take the player from:

• their insertion,
• their initial discovery,
• their urgent relocation to Nogova's main island with team,
• their first encounter with a small village,
• their loss of the entire team,
• their first 'drive for their life' chase
• their coming into view of the first major town from a distant hill and realising how big the situation is! Cutting to credits.

This will basically introduce the player into the desperate position of 'solo1'. Across the chapters he'll meet with other characters,(human) and less favourable 'things' that just want to eat him in a variety of ways! As you progress, you discover more of the plot and reveal a whole new conspiracy. Finally, after finding out the truth of the whole affair and realising a possible more sinister outcome can occur by following the Umbrella Corp's orders, the player will have to ask themselves whether they should go through with their purpose here or not, leaving two possible endings. If enough people enjoy it, which at present looks certain to be a lot, then we will continue with our mighty campaign set over 72 hours of solo1's life! Think of half-life, better still opposing force actually since you start being the tough military guys sent in to clean up as it were. From the first mission that is now completed, i must admit it looks to be a very successful direction for OFP and we'd definately encourage more modders to turn their attention to the Resident Evil world!
